Tim Wawn, Chief Executive Officer
Prior to joining Applimex, Tim was Managing Director of the
Australian operations of ASX listed biotechnology company Gradipore Ltd from
1994–2002 and Global Chief Operating Officer from 2002 -2003. Gradipore was
recognised as one of the “Top Stocks of the Decade: 1991–2000” by The
Australian Financial Review with cumulative returns to investors in excess of
1000% over that period. Prior to joining Gradipore, Tim was a Chartered
Accountant and Director of a management consulting firm, delivering strategic
advisory services to SME organisations.
He possesses extensive experience in leadership, business
strategy and business development and in working with international
biotechnology markets in the US and South East Asia.
Tim holds a Masters degree in Economics and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Australian Graduate School of Management. He is a non-executive director of Innovative Purification Technologies Pty Ltd and a member of the Steering Committee for the Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre of Excellence in Biotechnology and Development, based at the University of Newcastle, NSW.
